“49. I’ve been to six different countries.” I suppose it is time to update my ’50 facts about me’ considering I’ve ventured to new lands! Over the end of October, this little lady and her family vacationed in Italy! I learned a lot during the trip, but I’ll highlight a just a few things for you all to enjoy: -Italian cats are adorable and everywhere. Yes, I wanted to capture every single one!! -Drivers in Italy are bat shit. NO RULES OR LAWS APPLY. It was madness and slightly hilarious at times. -I fell in love with basically every Italian man I saw. They are really attractive… and they dress so well! -I still can’t comprehend how some of the cathedrals were built before modern technology. It was amazing and inspiring to see creations made just out of marble and chiseled into a beautiful statue or beautiful and intricate columns holding up buildings. Every building we saw was beautiful. -Okay, they really like bread and pasta… I thought I was a girl that loved her carbs, but holy wow… I couldn't keep up. The fat kid in me is very disappointed in myself…. -Time didn’t seem to exist much at all. Some nights we got back to our apartment at nine at night (or later) then we would eat a huge dinner. Even the way some waitresses or chefs worked, time didn’t really exist. You want good food? You need to wait because good things take time. They always made sure your wine glass was full and there was a smile on your face. -I learned that my family is bad at reading maps, including me. Thank you to an Italian GPS app on my dad’s phone! -Not being connected to a cellular network while being overseas made me realize how connected I am to my phone; rushing to the room at night because that’s the only place I received wifi. It’s sad, really… -I also probably should mention that a REALLY attractive Italian man asked me to marry him.. It was a big moment for me. (Apparently my face turned bright red and I wish so badly I wore make up on that day) My family thought it was hilarious and made fun of me the entire remainder of the trip! Jerks! -I learned that I never knew chaos until being in an Airport. It was literal craziness. I hated the entire airport/air plane experience. P.s. plane food does terrible things to your stomach- just don’t eat it. All silliness aside, it was an amazing learning experience. I’m incredibly thankful we had the opportunity to take the time off to be together and enjoy ourselves. Seven days wasn't enough for me, I must go back soon! Love always, Jacqueline =^.^= (The above picture is actual human remains) ![]()
